From what I've heard since I live in New York City, they are treated like crap.
I haven't heard the best stories either. But honestly, I don't know if we are only hearing the worst cases and that 95% of them are getting the treatment they need.
Is there a difference between what they actually need and what other people think they deserve?
I have heard that there is a lot of folks that were in NYC then that are having breathing problems from inhaling all the dust and such. so, who would be liable for that?
Just asking . . . B)
I think the government should step in and help them out. I heard the volunteers who went in on their own will aren't getting a dime from the government.
Our government is not giving a cent to them. Its basically a charity that people can give to if they feel like it. The first responders have had diseases of all kinds and our government has done nothing to help them.
