The teachings of masonry are no different than what I am taught at church. Masons are taught to be charitable, to seek out Gods guidence, to love one another and to be good citizens. I am sorry I can find no fault with Free masonry.

The easiest way to sneak a look at all of Freemasonry's secrets ( don't tell anyone about this ) is to buy a copy of "Freemasonry for Dummies".

Otter you assessment of Masonry's 'chain of command" is over simplistic but close. The fact is the Grand Master is elected and changes every year or two depending on your jurisdiction. No one man speaks for all Freemasonry or Freemason.

As far as Masonry being a cult. It does not pass the litmus test of cults. Cults are easy to get into and hard to get out. Freemasonry is just the opposite, hard to get into and easy to get out.
I am a Freemason and I sometimes read appalling statements by individuals who are not members claiming to be more knowledgeable than those that are. And Freemasons rarely answer their critics, there by letting them say what ever they want and foist wild theories.
Freemasonry is an easy target for this reason.
I beg to differ with Darrell though. We do have secrets and there is something to protect. For some it is a lifetime journey to find the secrets and some may never find it.

So if you sling enough mud, some may stick to the wall. Please use your own mind when considering the source of these so called conspiracy theories.
