Because Sun Tzu, politicians shouldn't have as much power as they have now. If we break it down even further, then they can't be bought out just as easily. More positions, and let the citizens take part in politics. None of this ridiculous talk about how we don't have to vote for them, and all of that. People are mislead, and that is wrong.

Why would we want to remove accountability further?

You can't dilute the power people have in government by apportioning more power to government.

The guy has been in office less than a year, and he's doing more work than Bush did in 8 years.

We can't stop lobbying.

Actually, more bureaucracy would be effective because then we can dilute the power people have in the government, making it harder for lobbyists to target specific people.

To answer the question posed here . . .

Lobbying can be stopped, but only by the will of the people.

To answer the meandering questions in the threads . . .

Our government can be brought back to the Constitutional Republic that it was designed to be and once was in the beginning. And again that can only be accomplished through the will of the people.

Only if the people stop putting their beliefs in just one person (a singular President like we have now), and turn to a Presiding Council form of a Presidency (no more than five, and none elected in the same year or from the same region) can we have an effective change that would have a positive outcome - And Jared, PLEASE do not insult the rest of us by saying that this present one is the man to do the job . . . The job he is doing on us reminds me of a very happy proctologist!

Just my not-so-humble opinion.

More transparency and less bureaucracy would take care of the problem far better than more rules and layers of involvement. The more complex and involved the government is, the less control the people will actually have to influence policy for the public interest rather than the specific, special interest as is the case now.

Yea, it's better than just sitting back and letting them do it and just complaining about how corrupt it is.
