Yes he did, obviously.
How could you say that? Why would he want to create something that destroys what he has built.
I don't think there is a God (although I do pray occasionally), so no, I don't think he created evil
If god created the universe with humans on it, he certainly created genocides, natural disasters, diseases, poverty, starvation, greed, and war as well. Since he is omni-potent, he has the power to stop these evils. Essentially he is abetting these crimes. What a rotten being!
Not necessarily. Just because you created human beings doesn't mean you created natural disasters.
It is a difficult question. On the one hand, the presence of evil indicates a creator. According to the Bible, yes, you could say (in one sense) that God did create evil. He created Lucifer, who summarily fell, and was sent away from Heaven as a consequence. Lucifer, or Satan as he is now known, is basically the essence of all evil, so in that sense, yes, God did create evil.
But I would say that there was the potential for evil long before Lucifer ever got into his head to rebel against God. So yes, evil was a presence, but I don't know that I'd say God created it. He has a knowledge of evil, yes- he knows what is evil, though he doesn't have personal knowledge of any of those things- so he could potentially end evil, but I don't think he would want to at least not here, because he doesn't want robots. If he had wanted perfectly-created automatons, he wouldn't have given us minds.
God did NOT create Lucifer.
If one is to delve into Theology, then one must know what one is discussing.
If you want the answer to this question, then ask a Theologian.
Just my not-so-humble opinion. B)
Since he is omni-potent, he has the power to stop these evils. Essentially he is abetting these crimes. What a rotten being!
I'm pretty sure God did create Lucifer. Lucifer was a cherub, and God created the cherubs. God did not make Lucifer evil, but he did make Lucifer.
I must admit that theology and doctrine are not my strong points. I'm better with politics (as I'm sure you can tell) or just plain, simple facts about God and the Bible. All that deep stuff…meh.
If God takes credit for all the good in the world, he also has to take the credit for the bad. I'm no bible reader but even i know that in the Noah's Ark, he wiped out every living thing execpt Noahs family and two of each animal. Does that make God a mass murderer or not because it was his own creations he was wiping out? I think anyone who can do that is more than capable of other evil deeds.
free will was given in heaven by a original design and it manifested itself knowing haven fallen from grace with anger, hatred, bitterness, negitivity, revenge in its desire, averist for power and to be of its own ruling with a fellowship. There was war in heaven the negativity and "darkness was born" "evil" its name was Sataniel. It was cast out and the source of all evil by the nature of mankind. It is supernatural but not the original design. Now with an intermediate design things being reshaped and given purpose, so to does Evil have a purpose. It's purpose now is to be a Secret Power and the TEST FOR MANS WORTH! It Challenges the Nature of a single person which will be TEMPTED BY THE EVIL FORCE.
Then who did? DIdn't Satan sit on God's left side? Are you saying that he has power equal to or rivaled by Gods?
God did NOT create evil. Once God chose to create human beings with free choice, then it was up to them, rather than to God, whether there was evil or not. That's what free choice means. Built into the situation of God deciding to create human beings is the chance of evil and the suffering that results.
Some people might ask, "Why didn't He create people that were only capable of lovin?"
Think of it this way. If you push a button on one of those talking Barbie dolls, and it says, `I love you,' how meaningful is that? If `love' or `goodness' is something programmed into you, something you have no choice about, is it really love? Real love must involve a choice.
God gave people free choice because that's the only way they could experience love, which is the greatest value in the universe, but then humans abused their freedom of choice by rejecting God and walking away from him. And that's how human suffering came into the world.
(continued below)
"So by creating people with choices, God in effect did create evil," some people might still persist.
God did not create evil and suffering. Now, it's true that he did create the potential for evil to enter the world, because that was the only way to create the potential for authentic love. But it was human beings, with our free choice, who brought that potential into reality.
But if God is God, couldn't he have known what would happen? Couldn't he have anticipated the consequences of giving people free choice? (This is the question i get most.)
Another way to think about it: When you start a new relationship-whether it's a friendship or a relationship that might possibly lead to falling in love-if you could foresee the possibility that the other person may sometime disappoint you or hurt you or even walk away from you completely, would you walk away?
Most people would say yes here.
(contineud below)
So why do you ever make friends or start relationships?
Because it's worth the ris. Having good friends, and all the wonderful things about being in love-that more than makes up for the risk of getting hurt.
It's the same with God. He knew we'd rebel against him, but he also knew many people would choose to follow him. It must be worth it to him, because he not only created us with free choice, but he even created the way to bring us back to him after we rebel-through the suffering of his Son Jesus.
There's my two cents worth.
