Does being obese automatically equal being unhealthy?

Newly found data suggests: "excess body fat alone is responsible for more than 100,000 cancer cases in the U.S."
In many cases yes, but there are people who are overweight that are healthy. I didn't think that would be true, but it is.
If they will stay that way as they age is a different story.
It depends on how obese you are. A few extra pounds is normal, and you can be just as healthy. However, this does not mean that being skinny makes you healthy, because it could just mean the exact opposite.
Yes, most of the time it does, and don’t go suing Mcdonalds, you got yourself into the situation, why not try to sweat a little, before you decide to lipo the heck out of yourself.
ah suing McDonalds, this is the legacy america is leaving to the world. Just a quick jab at the 100,000 cases of cancer caused by obesity. A bit of quick engineers math. There are 360 million people living in the US, lets take 1/3(ish) of that number 100 million since its easier to work with. 1% of it is 1 million peeps, 100,000 is 1/10 of 1%… so push it all back together. 100,000 people represents 1/30 of 1% of the US's population. Statistica studies are performed with a 3-5% error involved, its just built in. The study can only be so accurate without literally polling 25% of the country.
So, the point I'm making, though I agree that obesity does and will lead to health problems; your 100,000 cases of cancer in obese individuals is statistically too insignificant to be an accurate statement.
Numbers can tell you the ultimate truth, or numbers can EASILY be vegged to lie to you.
Take global warming for example, there are scientists on both sides of the issue showing mathematical trends that the world is A) warming beyond control and rising the ocean levels, or B) in a cooling phase which will expand the ice cps and lower ocean levels……. ok guys, you can't both be right… you know?
My wife is an EXCELLENT cook!
And I resemble that remark!
Just my not-so-humble opinion! o.0
Obese is not just a few pounds overweight. You've got to take in the body shape as well to evaluate the health of the overweight person. Accumulating abdominal fat is much worse than having 'junk in the trunk'.
