This could honestly be the dumbest thing that any college student could ever do. Hazing another is cruel and serious. As we have seen in the past, people have died by taking it to the extreme, and when that happens everyone is screwed. Making people do stupid and dangerous stuff to become one of the brothers or sisters is a hypocrisy.
Just so the brothers can have fun while you get ridiculed.
Since this is the second this sort of subject in recent days, I am beginning to suspect that someone was either hazed as a plebe or denied entrance into a college fraternity.
There are much more serious and credible topics to debate.
That is just my not-so-humble opinion.

Fraternities are retarded. I don't need to join a club so I can get drunk and learn idiotic secrets that mean nothing.
College is all about finding about who you are. By joining a fraternity, you have to sacrifice your self-dignity and get abused by people you don't even know just to be accepted? That doesnt seem like fun.
Hazing is stupid and anyone who joins a fraternity really has to get a life. Be yourself, not part of a drinking club. Find friends on your own. Anyone who knows they are going to get hazed just to be a part of a group, must be mentally ill. Who would wanna be around a bunch of people that spit on you and did other disgusting things to you?
I assume you're not in one. That's everyone's excuse for not joining. You are not man-enough, that's why. Life is all about taking hits in the face.
it's fun if done safely. it actually does build some primitive form of comradary. I know, I was Greek in school. my best friends in the universe are from that time, and we share something. It's dumb, and incredibly "manish", but it's fun. As long as it doesn't get serious and risk people's safety it's just a fun, dumb thing to do. We had some great fun and nobody ever came close to being hurt. Well, the goat didn't survive…
To those who say fraternities are dumb and people who join them need to get a life… stop judging. you know nothing about that which you speak on this subject. Who are you to tell me not to join a social organization? Just because of a stereotype we're supposed to demonize an entire social infrastructure? Because of one movie and countless ripoffs?
you know that every fraternity hazes people in the exaggerated way you assume them to? Just maybe, do you think you're forming a blanket judgment on limited or no experience and personal distaste? Do all churches preach against homosexuality? Do all VA clubs house drunk Vietnam vets? Do all sororities create sluts and whores? Does everyone who plays video games a geeky nerdy loser?
Come on now, try a little harder than simply perpetuating myth and stereotype.
I went to military school, the hazing situation was alive and well. When applied in a controlled matter it will break down a group of individuals and rebuild them as a cohesive unit. Yur military has been doing it in boot camps for 250 years. Like all things: In moderation.
