I am not talking about a dog-eat-dog world. I'm talking about a world where people take personal responsibility for their business decisions and don't rely on the government for everything.

People are naturally selfish. How can one expect people to make unselfish sacrifices?

You really summed it up for all of us. Thank you very, very much. No research whatsoever on that statement.

Yea but you can't live in a dog-eat-dog world. Things don't work like that. You need to have a mix of both, which is why China is the sh*t.

I have to say that you are correct to some point Sal, but that's why you need a little bit of both in a system. Communism will be completely inhumane and being a pure competitive society will be too humane. You don't want to live in a perfectly communist or competitive society. You need both.

Communism requires perfection out of the dictator. We all know that there's no way that a human could be perfect (complete power=complete corruption), thus proving communism is hopeless.

That's what the market is. If people don't like something a business is doing, they are supposed to wake up and make sacrifices. Unfortunately, they don't. That's why we're in the mess we're in.

Communism is not, I believe, intended to be a dictatorship as originally conceived. It is supposed to be one massive co-op.

But, as we know, people are corrupt. They cannot be content with just a little bit of power, or justh aving shared power. That is where communism goes wrong.
