Is democracy the best form of government?

I believe it is. The citizens of any country need to understand that their voice matters. Communist and all socialist governments should be destroyed.
In my own personal opinion, no.
However . . . . .
I am a firm believer of a Constitutional Republic form of government, which is what the framers of the United States Constitution gave us when they completed that document.
It really is a shame that we haven't followed their lead.

No. A democracy is mob rule- one step short of anarchy. Not exactly a nice form of government.
I wouldn't know, all forms of government seem to be reverting to monarchy to my view.
Civilocity is the best form of government where the people watch the ruler entirely amongst their reign. Having a human with law would be more intelligent than picking a human without. That's civilocity compared to democracy. Imagine the products of civilocity compared to the products of democracy.
I wonder if Anne Frank would have included civilocity in her second book if she had known what it is.
Well if she didn't she would allow what happened to her to happen to someone else. That is the same thing as a nazi. It is almost like she wrote about the wrong thing.
