That said, aren't customers the lifeblood of all businesses?
So what if you have a million customers that pay nothing, then can the business succeed?
Satisfied customers and proper management techniques are the ;ifeblood of all businesses.
FYI – Microsoft, Apple Computers, and Yahoo are just a few of the most successful businesses that were literally started on a shoestring budget in someones garage or basement. They all were managed properly and gathered a very large base of satisfied customers.

I actually had a pretty good idea what sorts of companies he was talking about (think google maybe).
But he's confused about who their actual customers are.
