Like most things in the world, it has the potential to do both bad and good. Looping two debate topics together, nanoparticles have the proven potential to remove contaminants from the environment, aiding in the control of pollution. However, one cannot deny the harm that may come from using nanotechnology in microbial warfare. Like most major scientific advances, it's a double-headed sword.
I'm not worried. If it were possible to create an "all consuming goo" then evolution would have made it by now. Besides now we have remote controlled dragon flies! That's f'ing cool!
I'm with Andrew on this one!
This technology may some day provide the actual cure for most cancers if not all of them. That can only be a good thing.
Just my not-so-humble opinion.
Everything is, good point.
Yea that's what everyone says until you see something in the news about it.
I want one of them.
Embryonic stem-cell research will cure most cancers.
Wow for once I'm in agreement with almost everyone here! Amazing! I love the idea of nano technology, and like all htings it needs to be regulated and engineered to a degree where it cannot run amok and create the Great Grey Goo. That said, yes, if it can enter my body and eradicate cancer by taking tumors apart and leaving me without radiation therapy or chemo, thats wonderful! And hey, if stem cell manipulation is going to do it also, then give me a double dose of both!
it’s benifits are more.
