It appears to be. Don't get me wrong, a lot of them teach self-control and relaxation principles like Buddhism, but it's almost like an addiction that everyone is clinged on to.
Buddhism is a horrible religion that teaches denial of the self. That said, I'm pretty sure alcohol is the opiate of the masses. Not that I'm big on religion.
What kind of question is that?
Most people throughout the history of mankind have wanted answers as to why we are what we are and how we got here. Most religions try to answer those questions. Even in Mythology they try to answer those questions. Not putting science down, but even the best theoretical scientists have not been able to answer any of those questions.
Nowadays lots of people need guidelines to live by. Religions provide those guidelines, some more than others. However, there is a fine line between religion and a cult. The difference is (to me at least) that religion promotes life and cults promote the destruction of life.
Why don't we ask Mr. Obama…
Religion is a top debate in most everything!
