Part of me feels like it is something that is made up so it can be an excuse for cheating. For example, Tiger Woods.
I have known people (both men and women) who are addicted to sex. Like too much of anything else, too much sex can be harmful to you.
We Humans can become obsessed (aka addicted) with anything . . . Money, power, cars, alcohol, prescription drugs, illegal narcotics, and yes – even the act of sexual copulation.
Just my not-so-humble opinion. B)
It's an excuse. Do people become obsessed with it and do it too much, even to their determent? Yes, but that's their choice. They can control the behavior, they just don't want to. They aren't an addict, they are selfish.
