Oh yeah, this will bring the downfall of man, amongst many other things. Kids these days are so lazy, everything they need is right at their fingertips. Why should anyone even go out then? This is the primary cause of the growing problem in child obesity.
Especially in the United States.
It’s actually making society better. We are moving into a knowledge-based society, which means people are using their heads more than their bodies.
Our work ethic is being slaughtered by our politicians in their never-ending effort to attract the laziest of voters.
The current state of our welfare system that was created by our politicians and embraced by the laziest of our population is proving to be the downfall of us all.
They are continuing to make it easier to obtain the necessities of life without even having to work for them.
THAT is what is killing our work ethic!
Just my not-so-humble opinion.
Absolutely, you can't walk down the street without having someone with a phone in their hand texting every person in their phonebook! GET A LIFE! YOU ARE NOT THAT IMPORTANT!

Well it is technology. So it's half the topic.
All you do is seem to have a grudge against every politician. No one controls my life, especially not any politicians.
I really do not see how his example proved to provide any sort of light on this subject. Just a waste of space if you ask me.
Let him rant. If he thinks he made a point he will come back and defend this waste of space.
If we had intelligent politicians, then maybe I wouldn't have a "grudge" against them.
The fact is that since the turn of the last century, all they have been doing is making things worse – and we-the-sheeple have been deaf-dumb-and-blind to their shenanigans.
It is way past time to shake them up.

Heck guys, 90% of my posts are done at work….. I couldn't keep up on this whirlwind if I didn't…. Thats sad…… ugh
weren't you just complaining about how much money is being spent on nasa? without them we wouldnt have the means to get satellites up into space and that means we wouldnt have cell phones, and would be spending alot more money on landlines, not to mention wrecking the environment while we're at it. if technology is making us so much better then stop arguing against it!

I think it's doing both. People work less at work, and take more of their work home with them.
Cell phones have nothing to do with satellites. Satellites are used for Satellite Phones, GPS, Media Broadcast, slow internet, and both terrestrial and extraterrestrial observation.
I think it has the ability to do both. Which way we use it is up to us.
