This is not my type of debate since I do not invest in hedge funds. Maybe STS can shed some light on this subject.

Based on this logic you are using… since I don't run a hedge fund, nor invest in one, I am apparently not qualified to comment on the topic either.
So why should I shed any light on it? In your world human beings apparently never need learn anything about anything that they're not directly involved in.
It's not that hard to look up hedge fund regulations (existing or proposed) and regulators and form an opinion about their effectiveness or futility. In particular with your belligerence, you will tend to reject out of hand whatever homework I do for you as far as presenting facts to the case. So perhaps you should just google it yourself instead of waiting for me to present an informed opinion.
