We’ve been using lottery taxes for centuries, I see no problem with it – the only issue would be if we as a country outlawed gambling, which would be wrong in my book(maker’s eyes)
+1 Tarquin. Back before we had the lottery we had number runners. It was illegal, but so wide spread it was never enforced.
Dump the lottery you’ll simply be giving your money to the gangs rather than a public entity.
Whatever just let people play the lottery if they want, not even worth my time to be upset about.

Which is funny because it funds education in many states. It seems like that explains part of the "motivation" for properly educating citizenry.
I personally think gambling is stupid. Essentially, in this case, it is taking your dollar and giving it to a millionaire.
We had a fool break in to our store steal all of the tickets before they had been scanned. Can you guess what happened next? Yes, the cracker scratched them and then tried to collect his winnings.
