Yes. The swine flu is a serious problem and we need to be protected.
I heard you can still get it even if you get the vaccine though.
Since I am deathly allergic to influenza vaccines -(due strictly to the way they are all manufactured)- and do not ever take a flu shot I will leave my feelings about this sort of thing out.
I will, however, recommend that if you are one who can take those immunizations to please do so for your own protection.
Just my not-so-humble opinion.
But how can we trust this vaccine?
I always get the flu when they use the ‘live’ vaccine, such as in the swine flu nasal spray. I will wait for the injection, which does not contain the ‘live’ stuff.

There isn't enough of it to gain herd immunity. It's rushed more than even the annual flu vaccines. There's not that much as is, so good luck getting it even if you want it. So basically, no. I'll pass.
What do you mean by rushed?
I've heard bad things about the vaccine. In fact, many doctors are refusing to get it themselves. What does that tell you?
Second, I dislike vaccinations in general, mostly because of the stuff they pump into them. (I won't get chickenpox, I'll just die slowly from mercury poisoning. Yeah, a real great trade there.) The H1N1 vax is unproven as of yet, and has several side effects- none which I care to risk.
Rushed to the point where the companies that provide the vaccine have been legally given immunity from an adverse effects of their vaccines so that the governments of the world could ship it out in time for flu season.
I agree it has been rushed and no one in my family will get it. We don't get the annual flu shot either though.
That is exactly the case. I have a problem with the fact that some of the very doctors who are suggesting that their patients have the vaccine are hesitant to be vaccinated themselves.
The Swine Flu is completely different. You can die from it.
uh, im only 16, but the reason why i wouldn’t take it isn’t because of that, the chances of that are so slim its nothing to worry about, however i am worried about whats in that needle, the government can put anything they want in that thing. (but im not going to get into that)
I’ve also heard statistics that people who don’t get the flu have a 50% better chance of not getting it.
i agree on one point that we cant really trust the government i mean really all of our meat is pumped with antibiotics and artificial growth hormones and 95% of of what we eat and drink is genetically engineered because of money and the U.S. government only cares about money not our health if they did then they wouldn't do that or they would do something about it but no because they r poisoned with greed and money i mean they don't do anything about global warming they say ughh were trying our best but they don't do nothing because why too much money. My main point here is if the government is doing all of this what makes them think we can trust them with this vaccine they probably put stuff in there that dont even work and ae cheap ingredients cuz they r cheap but im getting the vaccine anyways to protect myself family and friends just in case only 1 out of a million get serious side effects so it might be alright plus H1N1 is a terrible illness my cousins step dad is almost dying from it i want to help this situation and best believe i am terrified from this swine flu maybe if the government made sure are meat was better [ notice there fault AGAIN!] this wouldn't be happening and lives would be spared but like i said I'm horrified of this big mess. Oh and by the way I'm only 15 so your not the only intelligent teenager in this country either your not alone!
i think that if your a high risk for it then sure if you dont usually get the flu any way then no dont get it…and dont get the nose thing!!!!!!!! other than that i think it depends on you situation, and how you try to prevent it to the best of your ability for instance im pregnant and will try my hardest to stay out of the emergency room and any where else in a hospital but the maternity ward lol or doctor office as for our meat it is over stuffed but when your older as your only 15 now you will have the option of growing your own meat, if its something that concerns you enough im sure you will. as for global warming not to go to far off topic, we spend to much money on it anyway, and need to spend less. we spend to much money on many things we shouldnt, one in a million btw is pretty high but not the statistical data for the vaccine many ppl experience temporary paralysis but this isnt talked about much no one knows what that does to the baby long term,,,,just throwing that out there,,,,,i realize this post is not very clear nor is it in any sequential order but if you have any questions feel free to ask or as in the name of the site DEBATE lol…i apologize im slepy and not typing well and prolly not making much sense
You can die from seasonal flu too.
When nobody is getting rich from vaccines that you must get every year and when the CEO's of these companies are the ones who are in control of the WHO then maybe I'll consider getting a shot. They are collecting data with what I would consider mild disease. This is only the beginning.
We should be thankful that the swine flu did not spread very rapidly. it is not very deadly like Ebola but swine flu can still kill you.
