I don't believe in it. How do a bunch of cards predict your future by you putting your hands on them and thinking in your head? It makes no sense.
Its been around for centuries so there has to be some truth to it.
Well, they are only meant to stimulate your mind into thinking about your present life and so issues that are relevant can be stimulated by many cards, as far as I understand. I think people put too much faith in them nonetheless. That's human nature.
No.
Things like that are nothing but a con-artists tool to rip off people.
Just my not-so-humble opinion. B)
Since tarot cards are inaccurate most of the time, as a corollary they must be accurate at least SOME of the time.
The truth behind tarot cards is that they were intended to be used for a card game similar to bridge or spades. The tarot was not originally intended for predicting the future. While most Americans are only familar with them in fortune telling, tarot card games are still popular in European countries like France Switzerland and Italy. Go to the website of the International Playing Card Society for an accurate account of tarot's history.
Honestly, it is all about interpretation.
The cards themselves cannot reveal your future, regardless of whether they could or not, the future is not set in stone, anything can be changed.
The usual deal with these things, is that the 'fortune teller' is reasonably vague about their predictions, allowing the person who is being read to interpret these however they wish.
Often they are able to directly relate it to something already happening in their lives, or re-visit the fortune telling if something comes up relating to it.
Though, my girlfriend did go to one in South Africa, and this lady was very, very specific about several things.
So in my opinion, i've no idea how to go about this.

The fact that something has been around for a long time doesn't make the idea correct.
Take the ancient idea that everything revolved around the Earth. For millenia people thought that this was the case, but we now know that the Earth orbits the Sun (or more accuately, the Earth and Sun both revolve around the center of mass of the system).
