Yes. He's amazing.
And you have never heard of Steppin' Fetchit?
In all honesty, I would have to say that my Down Syndrome Grandson is the greatest actor of all time. Why? Well, at just eight years of age, he has his entire school in the palm of his hand. Due to his Down Syndrome he is apraxic, meaning that he hears just fine but is yet unable to form the words to speak. He has figured out how to get a day out of school by first coughing after which the teacher sends him to the school nurse who then observes him wiping his runny nose on his sleeve (most Down Syndrome children do have runny noses) and then calls my Daughter to come get her son. He has missed 22 days of school this year due to phony colds. My Daughter asked my wife how she could put an end to this and my wife told her that when he does this, bring him home and make him stay in bed and give him chicken soup and crackers (which he hates) because he is "sick" and sick children have to stay in bed and eat chicken soup and crackers.
It has now been almost two months since he has had a "cold" . . .
Yes, my Grandson IS the greatest actor of all time, and my Daughter is his greatest critic!
