XP is so much more easier to use!
It may be easier, but Windows will take of the security of Vista users more than XP.
After using XP since it came out, I have just bought a new laptop with Vista installed, the main problem I have is arranging documents and pictures, the way I could in XP (as they are written, and as they are saved), now I have to save to the desktop so that I can find tomorrows blog, because vists insists in saving them alphabetically.
Also the security pop ups are driving me crazy.
Give me back XP.
If my choice is between the two, I would chose XP hands down, no contest. Of course if you are really worried about security go with a version of Linux. I use Ubuntu but there are many good ones out there.
My mom has XP on her computer, and I have Vista on mine. Vista grows on you, it really does, and I'd have to say I prefer it…but the Mac system is more streamlined.
Hi Jason!
Wanted to stop by and say thank you for stopping by my blog a few days ago, it was nice meeting you.
And I really needed to comment on this post because I bought a new computer about a year and half ago when Vista was all you find on computers and XP was on it’s way out, and I gotta tell ya…I can’t stand Vista. The updates are the worst and it’s SO SLOW. The only thing positive I can say about Vista is the spyware protection and that’s about it. My next computer will be a Mac.
Bought this computer brand new with XP already installed. Loved it. Then Microsoft came out with Vista Home Premium and the computer manufacturer gave me a free upgrade.
If anyone ever offers you a free anything – TURN THEM DOWN!
Vista is pure garbage! We bought a new laptop with Vista already installed – SAME RESULT!
I tried to go to Ubuntu but there is a program inside Vista that will delete any and all programs and devices that are on your hard drive if you do try to change to another OS – and that includes returning to XP.
One other thing is that this computer can also double as a TV, and I do not think that the Microsoft patent has run its course on that part of it yet so Ubuntu does not have a add-on to do that and I need to hide in here in my den during football season to watch my games. The price of the both of us being retired and at home all day every day now . . . sigh.
What were they thinking? Vista stinks!
Both of them are garbage. Maybe Windows 7 will be better.
Mac OS X
Unless you are really into graphics, Vista offers nothing more than XP and it has some aggravating features that are supposed to make it easier to use, but do not. It does not even let a user get into some directories to make changes. I am waiting for Windows 7 to see if it is better.
It will not be better.
