No, it's freaky and disrespectful.
Why not? The residuals should be paid to his heirs. If films and commercials are halted when an actor dies, then all movies, records, and the like should be halted. No more Elvis, now that would be a relief!

If it sells the products… what about all those other commercials that either CGI dead actors from movie scenes? He was a pitchman, much like Colonel Sanders and Ronald McDonald…
