Look, I have nothing against doctors. I know that they want to get paid and that's why a lot of them don't want the national healthcare system but most of them have no concern about their patient's financial situation. They don't always realize that the patients can't afford their ridiculous prices if they don't have insurance.
I don't think they should, because once we started treating them like businesspeople is the moment we went wrong with our system.
That is absurd. Most of the doctors who are against healthcare reform feel that universal healthcare will hurt the efficiency of the care they wish to provide. What constantly bothers me is the argument that doctors are stripping people of their money, dignity, etc.. First off, in most cases, it's medical billing workers who file insurance claims. Secondly, doctors need to be paid. And unless you are aware of the costs of medical procedures, don't start commenting on the prices.
There is no efficiency when the number one reason American citizens go into debt is because of medical costs.
Don't give me that crap too. There is no way a surgery costs 50,000-60,000 dollars.
Sure they should, just not any more say than any other citizen.
That's reasonable, but when would a doctor not be placed above an average citizen. They all have egos.
Jason;
If you do not want my discussion on this topic, then say so!
Since when is a comment "too long" to be published?
All this has done is just make me disgusted!
At least you got a reason for a comment deletion or rejection.
Papadawg, our system automatically holds comments for moderation when it suspects anything. Usually, they hold comments for moderation for stupid reasons, but it still prevents spam from entering into the system. This happens a lot but once one of our moderators signs in and checks the moderation queue, then we approve them.
Sun Tzu,
We've realized that some spammers have adopted your name to be used at times. The way we tell theirs apart from yours is because of the email address. This is a classic technique that they use to pass comments through the system. I apologize if any of your comments have been deleted or rejected so far but from my moderation experiences, I've never deleted or rejected any comments made by our regular posters.
I apologize if any comments have been deleted on your part.

lol why would they delete any of the comments made from regular posters?
We have established a Contact page for you to use whenever you feel necessary.

These doctors don't deserve any say whatsoever in the health debate. Most of them can't sympathize with a client's financial situation which is understandable, but I don't want them anywhere near the healthcare debate.
Yea I agree with you Zack. These doctors, they think they are so fly because they went through 100 years of schooling or whatever. They have no idea what it's like for their clients to deal with paying the bills.
If you are hurt, then you have to fight for two reasons: to save your life and to make sure your insurance companies pay to save your life. We need to eliminate both of them, and the time for the second one is now.
I do believe that everyone deserves a say when it comes to our government. However, I also believe that there is kind of a separation between doctors and the financial status of their patients. I think that we shouldn't have a "survival of the fittest" system with our healthcare.
When it comes to our health, we shouldn't have to put ourselves in debt because of it.
I think they would know what is like paying bills since they spent hundreds of thousands on medical school alone.
You are right though, most of them don't give a crap about how much they charge for someone who is sick.
The sad thing is that everything in life always comes down to two things: money and power.
I posted on the contact page . . .
Listen, Jared, from what I've read, you aren't necessarily the most keen on healthcare expenses.
Saying that doctors aren't efficient because healthcare costs result in American debt is truly a giant leap. If anything, your comment reaffirms that the problem is with the healthcare industry.
Everyone deserves a say in the healthcare debate. To exclude the voices of those who will undoubtedly be forever affected by reform is insane.
I think you have something against doctors, Jared.
I'm not fond of doctors because I don't believe in profiting off of people's health.
So you want doctors to work for free?
