I think Gates might be onto something with this call, eliminating that budget may prove to be effective.
Yeah I think so. That is one big cut in the military that the United States can afford to cut.
That operation has served its time.
Bigger question: by how much should the defence budget get trimmed. Couple hundred million here and there is a start and ought to start a conversation about what else is in that budget that can be axed.
Instead, the couple hundred million is simply already spent on other things rather than representing an actual cut.
