Yea I guess so. The Queen can do whatever she wants. However, what happens when she passes away?
I will leave that debate up to the Canadians.

I don’t see any reason to maintain ties with her other than tradition, but is that really enough? But what is the cost? A spot on the back of our coins, and visits to continue the scharade. Tradition sounds all nice and important, but it may be a bit pretencious. I say cut ‘em.
