Yes because then the richest candidates are the furthest to relate to the people.
And that would put Billionaire Obama out of the running . . . Unless, of course, you would discount those that got their money by fleecing the taxpayer (hint – Obama has received ALL his money through federal grants and federal wages and absolutely not one penny from working in the private sector!)
I would say that you should pay more attention to a candidates background and experience rather than how much money they have. And if a candidate has held public office before, then that candidates previous track record would play a significant role in determining eligibility for the office that candidate is running for.
