But it's named, "No Child Left Behind!" How can you be against something like that?! What, do you hate children?! (end sarcasm)
I'm in agreement here. In the end policy needs to be driven by evidence and result. This plan has not delivered, so it's time for a different approach.
Unfortunately, this "plan" started out as a good thing. But like all good things that is put into the hands of Congress, it got politicized to the point of ridiculousness and that is what happened to it.
What we need to do is put the education of our children into the hands of their PARENTS, not the politicians. Only parents and educators really know what is best.
