Should the rich get tax cuts?

Why would you give breaks to those who took money away from the poor?
Yes, they earned their money and they deserve tax cuts.
Depends. Are we talking a tax reform with a simplified tax code (fewer deductions) in exchange for lower taxes generally?
Everyone who pays taxes ought to get a tax cut. The idea that higher taxes on the rich hurt no one but the rich is simply not true. High taxes on the rich hurt everyone, especially working people, because high taxes lead to higher unemployment and ultimately to lower revenues to the government. "Soak the rich" may sound appealing, but it never works economically. The rich pay a significantly high portion of total taxes.
Hear, hear!
I'm for a flat tax. But I want it to be real flat, like zero.
-Ron Paul
Are you that out of touch with reality?
In my very personal opinion, Ron Paul is a bonafide nutcase!
who takes money away from the poor?
Very inspiring lol
I personally think Ron Paul is a man who is doing his best to abide by the Constitution, and trying to make sure that the government doesn't get too much out of hand, inasfar as one man can do so.
Why do you think Ron Paul is a nutcase? ((Not to take this discussion completely OT…))
Usually it's his supporters that have some unsettling notions more than himself (truthers and birthers are both in there). And lots of Paul acolytes get really upset when you tell them that Paul is a "quirky gadfly", useful to the political process for constructing ideologically sensible processes and policies, but not someone who will ever be taken seriously. Most of the time I've found him to be reasonable, certainly in tone and message, even where I disagreed with his underlying ideas.
The sort of Rothbard-Randian libertarianism brand that he tends to use at times does lend itself to some craziness as well. At least if taken to its logical extremes it does seem to "work" about as well as full-fledged Marxism has for a large scale society.
I will say that some of the things Dr. Paul has said are a bit 'out there', but most of it I agree with.
I must admit that the first time I was "introduced" to Ron Paul was during the Republican debates before the last election.
I found him to sound whiney and I also found his statements to be so far out I don't think they were in the same solar system as Earth.
In politics, first impressions do mean a lot. After I looked him up on the internet, I found his beliefs to as far out as his debate statements as well as most of his followers.
I was and still am a firm believer in securing our borders and rounding up and deporting all of the illegal aliens in this country.
I also firmly believe in a very strong national defense.
That is just my not-so-humble opinion.
Dr. Paul believes in strong NATIONAL defense. He just doesn't believe in defending the rest of the world, too. He also don't support preemptive wars that drain our treasuries and kill our soldiers. I can't say I've looked up his stance on illegals, but I believe (I believe) he wanted to institute a plan to get them out…I'll have to go check up on that.
And now that I have taken this discussion completely OT…

Yes. We should.
The rich deserve to have most of their money stripped and be put to good use for society.
then we should strip the poor of "most of their money" and let it "be put to good use for society" …in equal proportions of course! …maybe if you see what an equal action would do which would only be fair you might see how naive you opinion is!
We ought to abolish the tax system, and PUT PUBLIC SERVANTS TO WORK EARNING GOVERNMENTAL MONEY. We also ought to establish a tipping system for public servants. The government needs to start hiring A LOT of people, and use interest-category groups as a legislation limitation. Maybe I'm crazy, but that's my take on the issue. To be quite frank, I do not care what people outside of the ones whose most major opinions I value think of my sanity
"Maybe I'm crazy, but that's my take on the issue. To be quite frank, I do not care what people outside of the ones whose most major opinions I value think of my sanity" ……….it appears you dont think highly of your sanity if you did you wouldnt be so quick to assume we didnt
The income tax from wealthy people makes up most of the government's revenue, which fund the programs for the poor people. There is no reason to encourage them to leave by raising their taxes.
