I think so, because we depend on them for trade and all, but let them handle their conflict with North Korea. We shouldn't have anything to do with all that.
Sorry about this kid, but you are way off base here.
The UN got the US into this mess in the first place . . . Unfortunately the US invented the UN in the first place . . . . So, now that we have the UN in place in the SK and of course the UN is not nor has it ever done its job, so it is up to the US to support SK, which is a good thing because during the Viet Nam war, SK supported the US without question.
Therefore it is only right and just that we support South Korea with the full weight and might of the US military should North Korea decide to attack South Korea.
You see Jared, it has absolutely nothing to do with trade . . . It has everything to do with fixing the mess that FDR caused in the first place!
Simple. No.
It's not our problem. It never was our problem.
We should have never been, nor should we ever be, the world's policeman.
John Quincy Adams once said "[We are] the well-wisher to the freedom and independence of all. [We are] the champion and vindicator only of [our] own."
Translation: We advocate democracy and justice for all but when it comes to fighting, we only defend ourselves.
You might think that by being the world's policemen that we appear to other countries to be the school yard protector when in fact we actually appear to them more closely related to the school yard bully.
Let the Koreans figure out their own problems. If they decide they don't want to trade with us. Whatever, we'll find whatever resources we are getting from them from somewhere else.
In the news today . . . North Korea has threatened "A physical response" if the US and South Korea have their annual joint military maneuvers scheduled to begin this coming Sunday.
These war games have been conducted annually for many decades now – I was a participant in one way back in 1961. We all were issued live ammo then, and I believe that they should issue the troops participating in this one live ammo also.
Just in case North Korea is actually stupid enough to try something. :p B)
