Yea. It will stop some people from committing these crimes and killing the spirit of Christmas and New Years.
The holiday season is a time of joy for most people.
As an ex-cop, I can tell you the the time from Thanksgiving through New Years Day is the worst time for law enforcement. All the nutcases come out of the woodwork.
Increasing punishment nor making any new laws will never change that.
Just my not-so-humble opinion. B)
Merry Christmas to all, and especially to all the so-called Atheists out there. ^_^
Granted, there should be more punishments for crimes in general, but how is committing a crime during holiday season any different from committing the same crime during the middle of August?
You too. You see how your in the Christmas spirit? Doesn't increasing punishment keep them off the streets though during these times.
Every day should be joyful and free of coercion. I don't see why non-holiday days should be held by any lower standard.
Nope, it just ain't a deterrent to insanity!
I think I am with Liberaltarian91 on this one. I don't see why committing a crime on one day should bring a harsher penalty than another.
