There have been talks in the United States about adopting a national health-care system. This topic is gaining more controversy and debate by the minute. Now it’s time to open it up for discussion.
What do you think about national health-care in the United States?

I don’t like it at all. We can’t be carrying the weight of other people. Everyone should be out for themselves.
I am opposed to a government run health care system. It’s my health and therefore I want to be the one in control of it’s care. The plan currently before Congress is a convoluted mess and needs to be scrapped!
Love the blog, I will be following and visiting often. I also linked you as a supporter of Parental Rights, let me know if that is not what you intended.
I agree with you Lori, about the site and your opinion on this matter.
Health care in this country is horrible right now. Although reform is needed, this bill only focuses on one facet that needs to be changed. The real problem is that the insurance companies run the show and the only thing they care abut of course, is money, because after all they are a business. The bottom line is, no one really knows what they are talking about, including me and Obama, and things just have to change or this country is going down hill.
Health-care prices are ridiculous. That is something that needs to be fixed. I don't understand why the government can't come in and try to regulate prices, just like they were trying to do with oil.
Because everyone is messed up.
Okay, kids, here it comes from the old fart!
1) There ain't nothing wrong with our health care system – thats why people who live in countries that have a national government run system come here for health care.
2) EVERYTHING our government gets its mits into turns out to be one FUBAR after another – look at the mess our educational system is in, and not to mention Social Insecurity and Medicare!
3) When we are young and employed, don't be so damn greedy, so go ahead and plan ahead and get your health and life insurance while you really can afford it, cause when you get to be my age it gets to be VERY expensive!
4) And finally . . . remember this – before any government can give you anything they have to take something from someone else. TANSTAAFL= There Ain't No Such Thing As A Free Lunch.
Just my not so humble opinion!
We rank 37 in quality of health care. We pay 2-3 times as much as the 36 countries above us. Case closed.
Health care is excellent in the US. Government is broken. We spend more money as a percentage of our Gross Domestic Product on Government than they do in Canada. We need to fix our corrupt government, like Obama promised, but is not doing. He lied.
We spend more on education than any other country, and we honestly rank lower than other countries, we must face the facts. When the government monoploy does it, it fails.
Meanwhile, in healthcare, we create more innovation than the rest of the world combined. Cancer and trauma survival is higher than any other country in the world. More people die in this country because they live in Democrat strongholds like Detroit, Chicago, and Washington DC, and they are murdered by thugs, the same thugs the Democrats give food stamps. People are stabbed, beaten, raped and stomped to death, thanks to Democrats. Case Closed.
We also have a lot of fatalities due to traffic accidents. So we all need to drive bigger cars. But the Democrats want to make that illegal too.
Democrats are trying to tell us what kind of lightbulb we can use, how much water we can flush, how many miles per gallon we must get, yet we can't drill for oil. Because they don't like free people and innovation. Case Closed.
I certainly believe that the system needs regulation, because you cannot gamble with people's lives. Like I said, when you get caught up in business, you tend to forget what people's feelings are all about unless you experience the worst it can get.
All these politicians (talkers) are arguing back-and-forth like a bunch of girls. If they were extremely intelligent, the type of people I would like to see making the decisions for our country, they wouldn't be arguing at all, because intelligent people work together.
Those of us who are saying that everything is fine, you are only saying that because I'm pretty sure that you are fine. There are people out there who are a walking time-bomb, very afraid of getting sick. The only thing I don't like is how it's going to take years for the system to taken effect. I believe that's a way so Obama can get re-elected.
The system needs to be improved, fast. Millions of lives depend on it.
i don't want the government to control anything. We were founded on the idea of limited government and nationalized healthcare is going against the Constitution.
