Pretty high up there actually. Think about the impact that this oil spill has, and will have for decades to come on many things. Not to mention the "cap and trade" push by Obama. Isn't it ironic that this disaster will do wonders for that bill…
I agree with you.
Yes. Pretty high. I agree with you.
I didn't watch this speech, nor will I comment on it.
If you think that the oil spill in the gulf is a disaster, just you wait and see what "Cap & Trade" will do to this country . . . :@
This is no big thing in the historical sense. People always have a tendency to think that the stuff happening now and to them is more important than it really is. Nobody born a year from now will have any idea this happened and most will go through their lives never knowing it. How unimportant does the Cuban missile crisis seem now? How many of you know about the Edmund Fitzgerald? History is just that, and it is rewritten to teach the lessons that those telling it want to be learned. This will be a 'big deal' for the environmentalists, and nobody else.
Although I do see your logic, I'm going to have to disagree. In your example with the Cuban Missile Crisis, I believe the impact of that event is still very significant to this day, but perhaps that is just me. Also, I can't imagine people hardly remembering one of the worst environmental disaster's in our history to be forgotten by next year. Not sure how the folks in Louisiana and the Gulf Coast would feel about that..
