With MAC you are limited to the programs and peripherals that Apple produces. It has been only recently that Apple Inc. has let out a limited license to another manufacturer.
With the PC your programs and peripherals are limitless – especially with the advent of the newer improved Linux based OS like Ubuntu and FireFox, oh, and BTW . . . Ubuntu and FireFox are F-R-E-E.
Eat your heart out, Bill Gates.

They both have their advantages, MACs are more for people are like art and stuff like that. If you just want to go online and download music, I'd say you should stick with PC.
This is one of those times when I'm in full agreement with you papadawg.

I own both. A 27 inch iMac running Snow Leopard and a Toshiba laptop running Vista. I despise the laptop. It's slow to load, freezes constantly with no escape and is always the target of virus or trojan attacks. If I want 3rd party software I can run virtual PC and voila. MAC all the way here.
PCs have always been number one, and will remain that way.
No one can resist the OS Sex Panther!
