Got to go with Nixon here.
I'd go with Clinton. He wasn't a bad president, but thats not really the question here. Embarassing, definitely; the man was unfaithful to his wife in the oval office with a 20 something year old girl. There were cigars and stained dresses involved. Got impeached, lied about the act initially, and stayed as president even after he "probably" perjured himself to the court system…. thats pretty embarassing. Go America yay!!!!
I'm going to say George Bush. As much as I don't like Nixon, his crime wasn't that bad compared to some of the stuff we've seen recently. Clinton was okay. He wasn't a great President, but he didn't go to war and he spend money on the economy and improving America.
The question isn't who was a bad president, there already was a "debate" on that. The question is "Who is the most embarrassing pres". Yes Clinton was an ok president, in fact really he wasn't a bad president at all. But he was an extremely embarrassing president.
You haven't stated WHY you think Bush was an embarrassing pres…..
Yeah defintely Clinton, because of the whole cheating on his wife thing.
The most embarassing President was Jimmy Carter. If you look at his term, you can clearly see had no idea what he was doing. He was an embarrassment to this country.
Two come to mind, but they are both being overshadowed by a third . . .
First is Jimmy Carter – His cowardly Rose Garden stand still makes me sick to my stomach.
Next is Bill Clinton because of his Monica Cigar thing.
Unfortunately the both of them are being overshadowed by Barack Hussein Obama and his continuing to apologize to the rest of the world for America being America.
And that is my ever-not-so-humble opinion! B)
No Republicans on your list papadawg? You don't find Richard Nixon an embarrassment?
Crooks are not an embarrasement, they are just crooks.
So, it's not an embarrassment that the President of the United States was a crook? Well, okay then, as long as you have your priorities in some sort of order…
I think there's a slate of them in the 19th Century that people are overlooking.
You have missed the point entirely.
Zipping around the world apologizing for America being free is not embarrassing to you? Wow, your priorities are sure in the right place . . . Yeppers, they sure are!
Hiding in the White House rose garden while Americans are being tortured half a world away is not an embarrassement to you? Yeah, right!
Cheating on his wife in a White House broom closet surely cannot be an embarrassing thing to you, now can it?
Too bad Nixon was caught snooping on the Democrats at the same time Democrats were snooping on him . . . Wow, that sure is an embarrassing thing, now isn't it?
I think it is you who needs to take a very realistic look at your own priorities. o.0
Oh, I haven't missed any of the point, Papadawg. We just look at things differently…
I don't see President Obama zipping around the world apologizing for anything. I see him as meeting with our allies and cleaning up the mess left by President Bush..
And, I never said Presidents Carter and Clinton were not embarrassing.
I believe my priorities are in order, as do you. It's free speech at its finest…
Okay LordTiberivs, check out this video:

What Ian? Jimmy Carter was a great President.
That's nothing.
That's right Barbie_Sue. Obama is doing a good job so far. All Presidents, like FDR have been criticized during their presidency but in the end they did good for our country.
So Barbie_Sue, what was the mess that Bush left? Why does everyone hate on Bush? He came through when it counted most, doesn’t that count for something?
ROTFLMAO!
Then obviously you missed his speeches in the middle east, France, Italy, and Japan and China.
Spending us into oblivion and marching in a very hard goos-step toward Marxism is a good job?
Jared, ya just gotta stop drinking the kool-aid, kid!
Yep, you and Barbie_Sue are sure excersising yer free speech alright. Too bad you can't see the forest for the trees . . .
Pusty, that is the Liberal way – "Blame it on Bush, Blame it on Bush!"
You know, like the story about Chicken Little – "The sky is falling, the sky is falling!"
Both make just about as much sense!
Very funny Jared! And indeed there are some very cringe worthy moments in that video. I still say that Clinton's actions within White House walls with Monica, and his impeachment , and his lying are more of an embarrassment. Bush really was a terrible public speaker!
But, I will say one other thing on that topic, and I'm not a very vocal critic of President Obama, but he uses the tele-promter way too much, to the point where it's beginning to seem insincere. One thing you can say about Bush in all those clips is that it's pretty obvious he ISN'T using the tele-promter most of the time. And yeah, he jokes around alot, but those seem to actually give him a bit of a personable nature. Embarrassing, yes; most embarrassing, I'm not sure.
FDR did die in his mistresses bed, that's pretty embarrassing. And I thought FDR was a great president, I'd put him in my top 5 I think.
Look around you Pusty.. The problems facing this country were in place long before President Obama was sworn in.. 8 years of the co Presidents Bush and Cheney left us broke, unemployed and in 2 wars. The image of President Bush should not be at the base of the fallen twin towers with his arm around the worker, and the bullhorn in his hand.. There was a whole lot more to his Presidency than that…
It's not the liberal way papadawg, it's just the way it is. President Obama didn't create the problems, of which there are many. You seem to believe he's some sort of boogy man who is going to goose-step us into concentration camps. You seem to be the one telling us "The sky is falling, the sky is falling." Where you this vocal and disgusted when Bush took away Habeaus Corpus, or wire-tapped your phone, or allowed sneak & peak warrants, or created free speech zones so he would never see the protesters, or lied us into Iraq? I have more if you need it….
We were going to go through a recession no matter whp the president. But that’s not my point, my point is that he perhaps did of the most noble thing of any president, and that was defending his nation from terrorist attacks. And he got beat up by Americans for doing it, everybody accused him of just wanting oil. While Clinton got busy in bed and was impeached. Yeah that really helps the middle easts view of America, who already think that this is the most sinful nation on planet earth.
I love when people use the "we're at war to steal the Iraqi's oil line…." If we're at war to steal all their oil…. WHERE"S THE FRIGGIN OIL THEN!!! Man we should be swimming in the stuff if we were just stealing it. It would be like 1957 and gas would be 14 cents a gallon. We'd be mixing it in with our drinks at night because there would be too damn much of it…. Wow, I spend nights dreaming about Iraqi oil and how I WISH it was just about us stealing it…. mmmmm… light crude….
p.s. pusty, you also forgot the lying in front of a jury about having sex with a young girl in our nations executive office.. you know perjury… which is a crime. Embarrassing.
Yeah, I was going to mention that LT, but I had another thought that I wanted to make, you know, how infedelity of the American president is just fueling islams arguement that America is morally absent. Also I couldn’t agree more on the oil arguement, oddly enough we agree in a debate LT.
I may go with Ford more then Nixon… although I would love to say Bush, I think it may be too early to say, but considering his aggressive strategies and his numerous gaffes, I'll put him up in the top 3!
If you already know what to expect from a person you can’t be embarrassed by them. Well as far as being put at ill-ease is concerned. Being financially burdened well that’s a different embarrassment all together. Although I have seen and heard some things that have given me pause. Ever see those billboards with G.W.B. on them that say “Miss me yet?” To which I reply yes and with both shoes. I came to my political awakening during the Clinton era. I remember not inhaling everything at first but I gradually dipped my cigar in and took a puff of politics. I came to realize a few things about relations between the U.S. President and the people.
Americans don’t seem to like the president that much. Everything the president says, does, or doesn’t do, functions as incredible stimulus that sends the public into an outrage regardless of what it is. From gaffs to laughs or just running up the tab to me it’s just morbid entertainment there’s nothing embarrassing about it unless you feel the jokes on you.
“There’s an old saying in Tennessee — I know it's in Texas, probably in Tennessee — that says, fool me once, shame on — shame on you. Fool me — you can't get fooled again." —President George W. Bush.
Nobody has said Ford?
