I'm going to have to Bear Grylls, because he does more dangerous and risky stuff.
Bear Grylls is awesome, he actually is on the move when he survives, climbing rocks and waterfalls, whereas Les just sets up camp and says “I hope it doesn’t rain”.
Yea but Bear Grylls doesn't spend the night, and he has stunt people there and stuff.
Someone saw Bear Grylls do a scene, then walked into a hotel that night. It seems like the plan Bear Grylls out to be an action movie, but Les Stroud is 100% him.
Who are these guys and what is it that would make them interesting?
I suppose to those of you who live in a fantasy world they are actually important.
Since I live in the real world, they just aren't interesting at all.
Just my not-so-humble opinion. B)
That’s true in the first 2 seasons but know Bear is keeping it real. Papadawg in the real world people are stranded in the wild and have no idea what to do, in your little boxed in world nothing like that would ever happen. These shows are about learning what to do in case you have to survive in the wild.
Did you just lecture a Vietnam veteran about being stranded in the wild? Amazing.
this is another useless topic for debate really. But considering I do watch both these shows occasionally. I'm going to have to go with Bear, and although I know Les shows you the best way to stay alive; Bear shows you the best way to get yourself out. Bear also shows you exactly how bad a situation can get; how close to death you can be wihtout even knowing it, whether its intense cold, or animal worries, or even water consumption; he gives you the best idea of how dangerous your situatgion can get. Les shows you how to survive in semi-controllable/planned situations.
Les Stroud is the host of Survivorman and Bear Grylls is the host of Man Vs. Wild. Both are crash courses on surviving in different wilderness / natural habitats. I'm a fan of Les Stroud and Survivorman myself, though this is is more of one of those "just for fun" debates.
I prefer Les because he is actually all on his own. Bear has stunt people. Cheater.
Yea a useless topic right? Then why are you sharing us with your thoughts?
lol yea but Les Stroud knows everything he is going to do coming in.
True, but I like Les better because he makes the audience feel right at home and he also has his show structured much better.
Thats true! Every meal he eats is like the best thing he's ever tasted!
Just because I think it's useless doesn't mean I can't input my opinion Jared. Also I'm sharing my thoughts with you, not sharing "us" with my thoughts. Lay off the pipe hippie!
Les Stroud when he's eating. He makes it seem like everything he is eating is delicious.
Jesus H. Christ, Baby!
No I didn’t lecture him about being stranded in the wild, I lectured him about the content of these shows are reality not a “fantasy” as he put it.
Les Stroud is harder to watch as he is the cameraman, if you like to watch a poorly filmed lazy man set up camp and live off the food that he was given before the show, that’s your preference.
If you want to watch a well filmed very informative, fast paced show, where the host tackles every situation and demonstrates survival techniques with an awesome british accent I might add, then that’s your preference.
Plus Les, wouldn’t do anything risky enough to require safety harnesses.
where actually is proof that Les is on by him own? maybe he has some back-up crew, which we all jsut
dosent know about :p
I feel les stroud and and bear grylls are equally talented.
Cody Lundin from Dual Survival is better than either of them.
i like bear grylls because he inspires you.
