I think it's switching over to a Democratic state.
China will remain under Communism until its people get the guts enough to free themselves from those inhuman bonds.
To break free of tyranny takes intestinal fortitude . . . To remain free of tyranny takes perseverance and determination. Right now the population of China has neither the will nor the determination to break free.
Not to mention the fact that they are still right in the middle of an industrial and technological revolution. Things will need to get a whole lot worse for Chinese citizens before they start thinking about serious action against their government.
