Just what do you consider is "immigration reform"?
If you are talking about enforcing the immigration laws that are already on the books as Arizona is trying to do because Obama and his Socialist crew are not doing the job they were hired to do, then I sure hope and pray that all 50 states adopt those types of laws!
Anything else is just more of the same . . . .
Arizona is pushing it with their immigration laws.
If I am stopped for speeding, I have to show my drivers license and registration and in some states proof of insurance. If I do not speak English and do not have a valid drivers license or registration for the vehicle that I am driving then I am automatically under suspicion of breaking one or more laws . . . If that is to include being in this country illegally, just how would you consider that "pushing it"?
Your statement defies logic.
All of those things indicate criminal activities that could already be penalized without new immigration reforms (with the exception of not being able to speak English, which is not illegal anywhere that I'm aware of). Including being stopped for speeding.
The problem people have with that law isn't people being stopped and detained for actual criminal acts. It's that police have a too wide discretion over what constitutes a criminal act and will use it to target legal citizens who fit the profile you're describing (essentially driving while Hispanic).
