I think it will. It's going downhill, and they don't have the communist backing like they once had many years ago.
I think everything will eventually collapse.
It has been well known throughout history that most corrupt governments implode among themselves, and if not then they are done away with either by other governments or their own subjects. Communist regimes that were founded on a revolution need a continuous struggle in order to prevail – China ran out of a dastardly enemy when the Soviet Union fell and the United States turned out not to be the evil empire Mao made us out to be. The end result has not surfaced yet, but China is slowly turning toward an actual free capitalist driven society. North Korea cannot long sustain within its populace that the world is out to get them, and therefore its implosion is rather imminent I believe.
I actually want them to stick around. They're armageddon insurance. Kind of like the Amish. If everything goes to hell, their society is so not dependent on ours that civilization will get a quicker restart if they survive.
