Well one can dream, can't they?
As long as people keep talking about it, yes there will be.
Racism on Planet Earth has existed since time began, and it will exist until time ends.
It just happens to be a very large part of what is more commonly known as the Human existence.
Just my not-so-humble opinion. B)
Not talking about racism or about race? Not talking about racism doesn't mean the problems caused by it go away. See: the Northern half of the US during Jim Crow and slavery or the US in the late 60s and early 70s post passage of the Civil Rights Act. There were and are still are big problems caused by racism that don't conform to the rules of peekaboo logic, for example the crack sentencing laws or the criminal justice system in general.
However, not talking about race might be a reasonable proxy for removing the many of the causes of racism, by removing the most obvious ability of people to be parsed in to these otherwise arbitrary and useless demographic boundaries. The problem with it is that I'm not sure how likely that is.
Yes… what you were expecting long answer?
It depends on what we mean by racism.
It is a fact that people look different and that is the richness. People always react in some way to visible differences. That is the essence of human interaction. Civilization should aim at cherishing differences rather than eradicating them.
But discriminating people on the basis of how they look is stupid and horrendous.
Fortunately, we have improved a lot over the decades because of enlightened individuals fighting against bias and because of legal frameworks enacted to prevent racial discrimination.
Yes…it will always exists as long as ignorant people are around.
I completely agree man… Its unfortunate but its human nature.
Racism will always be prevalent in society as long as certain races continue to corrupt the streets of the world.
Racism is pretty inevitable in America because it is the definition of its history. The only consistent theme that can be traced back to Jamestown that runs through the entirety of US history is that distinction made by race.
