I don't think so. Will people be incorporating more veggies in their diet? Yes. Meat-eating is healthy, in portions.
Yeah it will never happen.
Yes, I foresee the top humans choosing a diet of mainly vegetarians in the not so distant future.
I think we have been doing that for many a millennium now . . .
FYI – Veggies is what FOOD eats. You know, Bambi and all that . . . B)
I know a lot of people who are vegetarians, and yes they are FAT. So it all depends on your metabolism as to what makes you fat or unhealthy. All those years I was working I lived on coffee and doughnuts most of the time and never got fat. Now that I am retired, my wife doesn't let me drink coffee or eat doughnuts – and yes, NOW I get fat . . . I will leave it up to you to figure that one out. :p
I agree with you PapaDawg. Meat-eating has been in the works for thousands of years. I don't ever see a day when we'll all stop eating it. I love cheeseburgers and hot dogs. I love it. I never want to give it up. Never lol.
Humans are omnivorous animals. We require the proteins and fats we gain through ingestion of meat. We have varied teeth in our mouths for both "cutting" of meat (front teeth) and grinding of vegetables (back teeth). It's a simple explanation perhaps. But unless humans become independent of the needs for basic chemical fuel that come from meat in the future then no, we will never transition to an all vegetable diet.
Though let me add an interesting side fact. Were you to be marooned on a barren island with only the choice of a lifetime supply of steaks, or a lifetime supply of Snickers bars. The answer which prolongs your life the longest is the Snickers….. sorry to the red-meat lovers out there… But it is just an intellectual exercise anyway.
No snickers.
I would go for the Almond Joy.
But then, I have been considered a little nuts for quite some time now. :p
