Science fiction writers have long written about a future where we all have what they term as "credits" worldwide (some even universe wide). Just what those credits are based on is as diverse as the writers imaginations. I have long believed that we will eventually have a world wide governing system, and along with that a common monetary system – but not in the near future, perhaps in a few thousand years . . . when we have finally put all of our petty differences aside. But not until then.

The world AND the U.S. will be better off when the U.S. Dollar is replaced by, and incorporated into, a Single Global Currency, managed by a Global Central Bank within a Global Monetary Union.
A Single Global Currency will provide the people of the world what they want – stable money, and they will trust that money when they can see it and hold it in their hands.
The Single Global Currency Assn., which was founded in 2003, promotes the implementation of a Single Global Currency by 2024, now only 14 years away, and the 80th anniversary of the 1944 Bretton Woods conference. When a monetary union currency, with or without the US dollar, supports a currency area of 40-50% of the world's GDP, that currency will have achieved the "tipping point" and it will be anointed the Single Global Currency. After that, the other currencies of the world will seek to join that currency.

It would be much easier for the world. But a world currency would bring about the tribulation. Says so in the bible.
