Yes he would've which is why he was assassinated to begin with.
I do not know if he would have actually abandon the country as our involvement there was actually mandated by the United Nations when the French were ousted in 1954 by the Viet Minh who were trained and financed by the Soviet Union through the North Vietnamese Communist Government. I do know that he never would have committed American combat units to actually fight in the Vietnamese civil war as President Johnson did.
For someone who purports to have such a higher education, you have absolutely no knowledge of recent history.
It is a well known fact that Kennedy was assassinated by the American Mafia for his Bay of Pigs fiasco. JFK had organized crime (aka the Mafia) finance the exiled Cuban Anti-Castro forces with the understanding that when they ousted Castro the Mafia would have unfettered access to all the gambling and prostitution in the island nation. Even the crime bosses knew that without U.S. Naval air cover and sea born artillery support the invasion would fail, and with that in mind they obtained guarantees from the Kennedy administration that the U.S. Navy would provide a formidable force to carry out that task. When JFK finally heard about it he had a un-holy fit and issued orders to the CNO to withdraw all U.S. Naval forces from the area. As a result the Bay of Pigs invasion was an absolute disastrous failure that cost the Mafia more than two billion dollars. No one does that to the Mafia and lives to tell about it.
